Building off their success in the Richmond neighborhood, the Breadbelly team is delighted to establish a new community bakery in Building 12 at Pier 70 in the Dogpatch neighborhood. Their new space focuses on community engagement with three public facades showcasing their baked goods as well as their production area. The new contemporary café is designed to complement the defining features of the historic building, while maintaining a refined and bespoke interior aesthetic. The Breadbelly brand is conveyed through the use of a crafted tile wainscoting, curved board and batten soffits, and organically shaped decorative ceilings. These elegant and soft features reflect the qualities of their baked goods while contrasting and complimenting the industrial historic building. The bakery’s desire for transparency in their process is reflected in the translucent polycarbonate paneling and the large windows that look into their production area from the main hall. This artisanal space is filled with natural light and will showcase their delicious products to the San Francisco public.
